What types of information does FLYR collect?
In general, the types of Personal Information we collect from users is very limited. We require our users provide a valid and current email address in order to properly identify the purchaser of our products.
In addition to Personal Information, we may also collect non-personal information as an additional way of providing our services to users. For example, we collect details of your flight search, so that we'll access the proper flight itinerary when facilitating user purchases. In addition, your internet protocol (IP) address, internet browser type and version, screen size, operating system, and other details of your session may be transmitted. We may use Personal Information to communicate directly, as a part of our fare search, prediction, fare protection, or related products. For example, we will require your email address to process your booking-related confirmations and alerts.
In certain cases when making a flight booking or engaging in a related FLYR service, we may require additional Personal Information, including (but not limited to) full name, government-issued identification, mailing address, email address, phone number, and travel details. With your permission, we may also create a username and password-protected account in order to store selected Personal Information to your account for convenience during future booking purposes. We may also use a third-party service (“Log in with Facebook”, “Log in with Twitter”, etc.), which would also allow us to store your Personal Information associated with those accounts.
As an entity based and doing business in the United States, FLYR is subject to the full regulatory, investigatory, and enforcement powers of the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC). As such, we are committed to a highly transparent process with respect to how we deal with customers, in full compliance with any and all applicable laws.
About cookies and other tools we use in order to collect information
We may use browser cookies, a standard data-collection tool in the industry, in order to facilitate collection of certain Personal Information. This may include usage, demographic, navigation, and other data.
We may also use similar technologies such as web beacons, tags, and single pixels in order to facilitate the operation of our services in cooperation with our service partners. For example, we employ an analytics tracking function such as Google Analytics to gain certain insights about our users, including (but not limited to) age, gender, interests/hobbies, geographic region, etc.
Please note that even if you disable or delete cookies and/or opt out of universal online tracking functions, such as “Do Not Track”, some information collection methods outlined above may still persist.
Can I opt out of having my information collected?
You may opt out of certain marketing communications at any time. However, other communications related to your account and collection of Personal Information critical to our delivery of service to you cannot be disabled. To permanently opt out of having your Personal Information collected, simply stop using our services.
Is my data shared with third parties?
At times, our direct communications to you may include highly detailed information about your travel arrangements, such that if such information was forwarded by you to a third party, such parties would be able to make substantial changes to your travel arrangements. Periodically, we may choose to aggregate User Data on a wholly anonymous basis may also share anonymous aggregated usage information with others.
Your financial information.
Users of any paid services powered by FLYR will be asked to provide financial details in order to properly facilitate payment. Any payments as a part of an e-commerce transaction are done so on a fully-secured connection established exclusively between the end user and our service providers. Payments are secured via a 256-bit secure socket layer (SSL) connection. As of October 2016, these service providers include Stripe and PayPal Inc. Both providers are fully PCI compliant and licensed in multiple jurisdictions around the world, including the United States, European Union, United Kingdom, among others.
At no point does FLYR itself collect, retain, or store details of our users' personal financial information.
Where we store your information and how we protect it.
Our servers and data centers are hosted by Amazon Web Services, in physical locations throughout the United States. Data may be duplicated on multiple servers for backup and business continuity purposes within the United States. However, certain affiliates and service providers may have servers located in other countries. Through your use of our services, you agree that your information may be transferred to third party servers hosted in countries outside of the United States. These countries may have data protection and retention policies that are significantly different from the United States.
FLYR has implemented multiple security measures designed to safeguard your User Data, so that access is only granted to personnel within our organization (or selectively, trusted third party affiliates, as necessary). This is designed to protect against unauthorized access of personal information. Our server is protected by an industry-standard firewall on Amazon Web Services. We also employ SSL (secure socket layer) encryption as appropriate to encrypt especially sensitive transmissions of User Data during your use of our services.
EU-US Privacy Shield Notice
In compliance with the Privacy Shield Principles, FLYR Inc. commits to resolve complaints about our collection or use of your personal information. EU individuals with inquiries or complaints regarding our Private Shield policy should first contact FLYR Inc. at:

FLYR Inc. has committed to cooperate with EU data protection authorities (DPAs) with regard to any unresolved Privacy Shield complaints. If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your complaint from us, or if we have not addressed your complaint to your satisfaction, please contact the EU DPAs for more information or to file a complaint. The services of EU DPAs are provided at no cost to you. If your concerns or complaints are not resolved through either the internal processes or processes described above, a binding arbitration option may be available before a Privacy Shield Panel under certain limited conditions.
Restrictions and limitations
- In the event that FLYR is sold to another business, or our business otherwise changes ownership, a new ownership entity may assume access to your Personal Information.
- FLYR does not, and will not knowingly collect User Data from minors. Should we be made aware that a minor has submitted Personal Information as a part of our service, we will promptly remove such Personal Information from our records. Similarly, should a request be submitted on behalf of a minor (e.g. by a parent or guardian) to remove such Personal Information, we will handle all such requests with high priority.
- If we are obligated to disclose Personal Information as required by law, we will do so in compliance with relevant law enforcement or other authorities. If directed by a subpoena or other form of court order, we may also be required to disclose your Personal Information. This may include reasons of prevention, detection or prosecution of criminal acts or to prevent other damage, or in response to a legal action or to enforce our rights and claims.
- At user request, we will delete all records and Personal Information. Please email us at email@example.com to from your registered email address in order to request a deletion.
